2017 International Congress on Vitamin D

The 20th Workshop on Vitamin D convened March 28-31, 2017 in Orlando, FL

 

CONFERENCE CHAIR: Dr. John White, McGill University, Montreal, Canada

LOCATION: Rosen Centre Hotel, Orlando, FL, USA

ATTENDANCE: 220 delegates including basic scientists, clinicians, public health workers and nutritionists

PODIUM PRESENTATIONS: 46 (3 special lectures, 28 invited speakers, 17 promoted abstracts)

PLENARY LECTURE: Dr. Victor Corces

DEBATE: Randomized clinical trials for vitamin D benefits: Pro vs Con

The 2017 scientific program included 1 plenary presentation, 2 keynote lectures on "The Year in Vitamin D", 43 invited and promoted talks, a structured debate on clinical trials and 3 poster sessions.

Travel awards for junior scientists were supported by the NIH and Heartland Assays. Poster prizes were supported by Elsevier. Winners were chosen based on abstract ranking.
