THE 2019 VITAMIN D WORKSHOP WILL CONVENE IN NEW YORK CITY

  • The 22nd VDW will be held at the Crowne Plaza Times Square, 1605 Broadway, Manhattan, NYC
  • The meeting will begin with a Welcome Reception (5PM, May 29) at which highly ranked Plenary Posters will be displayed
  • General scientific sessions begin at 8AM Thursday May 30
  • The conference will adjourn on Saturday June 1 at Noon. 

REGISTRATION

  • Registration includes all program materials, Welcome Reception, coffee breaks and lunches 
  • Early bird rates (USD) will be in effect until March 15, 2019:
    • Academics & Researchers: $550
    • Trainees & Fellows: $250
    • Corporate: $1250

LODGING

  • A limited number of rooms at the Crowne Plaza Times Square will be available for conference attendees 
  • Negotiated group rates include all resort and wifi fees: 
    • King rooms (up to 3 guests) at $259 plus tax per night 
    • Double  rooms  (up to 4 guests) at $275 plus tax per night

ABSTRACTS

  • All abstracts received by March 15, 2019 will be scored by the program committee
  • Abstract ranking will be used to select Plenary Posters, Short Talks and Award recipients
  • Abstracts received between March 15 and May 1 will not be ranked but will be accepted for poster presentations as space permits



SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

  • We anticipate scheduling approximately 20 invited speakers  
  • The remainder of the podium presentations will be Short Talks chosen from the submitted abstracts
  • There will be two additional poster sessions on May 30 and 31
  • The conference proceedings will be published as a Special Issue of the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (JSBMB)


AWARDS

  • Two categories of awards are available: 
    • Young Investigator Awards are for  scientists within five years of their first independent position
    • Trainee Travel Awards are  for Post-Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
  • Awardees are chosen based on  scientific merit of the abstract 
  • Apply during abstract submission
