  • The 22nd VDW will be held at the Crowne Plaza Times Square, 1605 Broadway, Manhattan, NYC 
  • The meeting begins with a Welcome Reception  and Plenary Poster session (5PM, May 29)  
  • General scientific sessions begin at 8AM Thursday May 30
  • The conference adjourns by 1PM Saturday June 1 
  • Private charter dinner cruise on the iconic Circle Line  (Thursday May 30)

  • All abstracts received by March 15, 2019 have been distributed to the program advisory committee for scoring
  • Abstract ranking will be used to select Plenary Posters, Short Talks and Award recipients
  • Abstracts will be accepted until  April 29 for poster presentations

LODGING

  • A limited number of rooms at the Crowne Plaza Times Square are available for  attendees 
  • Negotiated group rates include all resort and wifi fees: 
    • King rooms (up to 3 guests) at $259 plus tax per night 
    • Double  rooms  (up to 4 guests) at $275 plus tax per night
  • Direct booking at these rates until April 25, 2019 or until room block fills

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

  • We anticipate scheduling approximately 20 invited speakers  
  • The remainder of the podium presentations will be Short Talks chosen from the submitted abstracts
  • There will be two general poster sessions (May 30 and May 31)
  • The conference proceedings will be published as a Special Issue of the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (JSBMB)

AWARDS

  • Two categories of awards are available for junior scientists
  • Awardees are chosen based on  scientific merit of a submitted abstract
  • Young Investigator Awards are for  scientists within five years of their first independent position
  • Trainee Travel Awards are for Post-Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
  • Deadline March 15, 2019
